SPRING FLING (Recovery and Empowerment Conference)

Spring Fling is an educational yet entertaining opportunity specifically created for individuals receiving mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or addictive diseases services from a Community Service Board (CSB). Hosted by the Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB), this annual event has a variety of informative sessions that focus on, but are not limited to: Recovery, Whole Health Action Management (WHAM), becoming a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES), Certified Peer Specialist (CSP), and/or a RESPECT Institute graduate, as well as self advocacy and resourced for independent living. Applications will be submitted for CARES, CSP, CPRP CEUs.

EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE (Leadership Conference)

This annual event hosted by the Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB) is an opportunity specifically created for Community Service Board (CSB) board members, leadership/staff and select vendors. The event is closed to the general public. The event brings a common perspective to our Public Safety Net of professionals and advocates providing Mental Health, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, and Addictive Diseases services across Georgia. Applications are submitted for CEU and CME credits from NASW, LPCA, GAMFT, GACA, GPA and GPPA.

CSB DAY AT THE CAPITOL & OTHER EVENTS

In addition to the day-to-day efforts made by Community Service Boards (CSB) to partner with their local legislators, the Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB) also hosts an annual event dedicated to grass root advocacy where CSB staff and board members head to Georgia's Gold Dome and connect with their legislators during session.
